For quite some my directories, the index pages number grows from a few hundreds to a few thousands. I am not sure if it is temp or Google finally give up squeezing directories. Do you notice this?
Google must be updating something because the number of indexed pages on a non directory site of mine as an example (when doing a site:domain.com search) will fluctuate anywhere from 1300 to over 20,000 in the span of hitting the search button again. While getting three or four vastly different results. Give it a few days and see what shakes out.
Yes they must be doing something.. A regular website 1 year old that was at 2000 indexed then dropped to 1500 is now Today 10,000 + pages indexed.. Im thinking that somehow this relates to the supplemental index that doesnt exist anymore (so they claim) or maybe we are viewing the update from caffeine Much like you claim though dont keep your hopes up as google always manages to sink peoples ship with the quickness thx M1
I have been watching the number of cached pages go up and down on directories for years in Google and it really doesn’t mean anything.
