I just read something very interesting from a guy called Rich Schefren who has(d) clients such as Mike Filsaime, Jim Edwards, Gary Ambrose, Joel Comm, Chris Carpenter, Rob Bell and so on. When the Gold Rush hit California several centuris ago, the men that made the most money were not prospectors but in fact the companies that sold the supplies to the prospectors. Companies that sold picks, shovels, Levi jeans etc. When the Internet started to really take off, it was the guys who sold (and are still selling) information on how to market and build businesses online. This is not a suggestion that the Internet is a scam, in fact on the contrary, as I don't believe it is a scam, but I think my Dad has merit, only in his statement that the most money is being made by the information sellers. http://www.xsitepro.com/finalchapter.html here is a link to the document by Rich
When I first started my whole family thought my internet businesses were just bullshit. My mother was a high school cafeteria worker, so it a little out of her scope to think someone could sit at a computer and make her weeks paycheck in a single day. Moral of the story? I had to bring home a brand new plasma TV before they took me seriously. Do your own thing and don't let other people tell you otherwise. If you are young then you have plenty of time for a couple failures, and the slight chance that they become a success is probably worth that risk.
That's right - but most of all just have fun. Check this blog out here http://www.strategicprofits.com/ and download a couple of his papers. I guarantee you that what he is suggesting will be the next hot topic of all the internet gurus. Expect a massive amount of email marketing based on these new tactics and not just from one or two guys. As this new wave of internet marketing intelligence takes hold and increases, so will the number of internet gurus claiming to be the expert on it and thus be selling their own programs based on it. Just like the Goldrush! However, having said all of that, I think the 61 page ebook 'The Final Chapter' is one of the best reads I have read in recent times, and regardless of your business, it's worth your time. BTW I don't get anything for you downloading it, not 1c or 10c or whatever some other's get for free downloads (some may say that's a scam) but after reading the final chapter, you'll know why it's possible that someone like Joel Comm gets paid 50c for every FREE ebook or article you download from one of his emails!!!! http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=147450&highlight=joel+comm Interesting stuff.
As predicted, they're jumping on the band wagon. I just got an email from Joel Comm who is endorsing this new course by Rich Schefren and his partner Early To Rise. The Course costs around $12,000 a year and I'm assuming Joel's an affiliate. I must say that I have really enjoyed the Manifesto, Missing Chapter and Final chapter. Dean
Well, it's come as I said it would, and the good thing is that the poll has suggested more make money from other sources than 'how to' courses on making money on the internet. Good for you all. Here is a free report that excplains the 'Death of Internet Marketing' for those selling courses on how to make money on the Internet http://www.TheDeathofInternetMarketing.com
Yeah thats what I use to think until I actually started to do the hard work and treat it like a business. You probably will not change his mind but there are quite a few podcasts over at webmasterradio that talk about success stories. If he has an open mind he may be willing to listen to them. I wish you well.
