My customers are giving me the fees

I am forum posting for my clients, and they are paying me in small intervals such as $1.00 USD for 10 forum posts.

But, I am only receiving 66 cents, and i lose 34 cents to fees.

The customer is supposed to pay the fees, what's going on.
I assume, just like real life the customer pays taxes. I only got 2/3 of my money.

I complained to him, but is this the way it is supposed to happen?

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to happen. Check this link for PayPal fees.

Ask your client to send payment and mark it as "gift".

I suppose you could sort that out before taking up an assignment. Clear with your customers that either they should pay you $1.50 for 10 forum posting or they bear the fees. I have seen lot many people on DP who charge slightly higher so as to cover the fees.

This is the mis-communication. The seller shall tell the customer before the deal, dont expect customer pay more, this is the seller responsibility to let the customer know it before the deal but not after the deal
