My CTR is only 0,03% and bad paying keywords

What's wrong with my CTR? I'm new tu chitika advertising and have some ads running on my website since wednesday.
First of all, my CTR is only 0,03% (unaudited). With adsense I had 0,3-0,5% in average.

    22866 4 0.02% $0.16 $0.03 $0.62
    23701 6 0.03% $0.15 $0.04 $0.90
    17990 7 0.04% $0.11 $0.04 $0.74

I heard that chitika pays up to 1,5$ for one click, but I only get 10-15 cent. What's the problem with my website or chitika?

It can depend on a lot of things, like ad placement, ad highlighting, even ad relevance. Without seeing your web page I don't think I can say. But remember one thing, showing all your adsense related information (like earnings and CTR) COULD possibly get you banned by Google.

It all depends on the ads that are being targeted to your website. Anything that would be targeted to my site pays low so I have just accepted it. I could put consumer electronics (or anything that pays better than bonsai ;) ) on my site but I'm sure my CTR would go down the toilet. You can search shopping.com for things you think your users would click on, check the chitika search to see if an ad would appear and then put that keyword into your chitika code. You might be able to find some better paying keywords that way. It seems items that cost more and are hotter in the market pay more.

My CTR so far has been higher with Chitika than it was with adsense but I think this all goes back to content also. I've been able to get ads that are much more oriented towards my site with chitika. If you aren't able to do that Google might be the better answer.

I'm working on that eiso. Thanks for the tips. I want to eventually put specific ads relating to articles in the articles section. It's a little hard to believe you had to look for a banner ad though ;) My audience is particluarly sensitive to advertisements (my core members don't want to see a bunch of ads) so making the ads blend in a little keeps the community happier :)
