I think not only the CTR which decides the earnings...
Traffic and the content has a big role.

Really depends where your getting your traffic from. The more targeting your traffic is, the high your CTR would be.

I read somewhere that anything less than 0.5% CTR is waste of traffic. So I guess going by that standards you are doing pretty good. But then again, it depends on whether there is room for improvements.

    I have a 11.18% CTR.

I used to have forums and the CTR was terrible. No more forums, only normal websites.

Forum needs a lot of patience and SEO work. Every weekend I work for about 15Hrs for seo work on my forum. And 30 minutes daily on posting and submitting links ....

My ctr remains between 3-6% and I can earn 10-15 $ /day, I am happy with it. Can anybody tell me, reg referrals whats the difference between Sign Up and Conversion. Though I knw whts conversion is but cant differentiate it with signup.

ya he is right getting more CTR depends upon quality of traffic.if its targetted traffic people will be more oriented towards ads.

i'm using adsense and for me forum CTR as others have pointed out, is lower. my CTR is higher for the wide skyscraper ads(160 width by 600 height) than other sizes. Google recommends these wide skyscrapers, and they've been the most successfully for my site.

My CTR is very high from search engines (around 5%) but when I get mass referrals from some website like Digg, it is VERY VERY low (less than 1%).
