    Advertising (learn more)

Advertise virtually anything here, with CPM banner ads, CPM email ads and CPC contextual links. You can target relevant areas of the site and show ads based on geographical location of the user if you wish.

Starts at just $1 per CPM or $0.10 per CPC.

My CTR improved from <1% to almost 6%

Breaking rules... your ad is right under post title. you need to have something that separates the two... like the
    word, "sponsored links"

I have seen well established blog with ads below title , but its differentiated from title by putting author name and a horizontal line before ads as i have done. The below screenshot is from a popular blog i have been visitng for last 2 years and it got millions visits and a alexa rank of less than 10,000.

that's cool, but beware! you are breaking the TOS by putting ads above the article's title ;)

Spammy sites are good for sending visitors away from the site, which is what you want to make money from adsense, good if they leave the site by clicking an ad instead of the X :p.

I also placed an Adsense under a Post Title but I'm confident I'm not commiting any violation on TOS.. Take a look here http://www.botsnhacks.com/2008/02/game-list.html

As long as you placed a proper heading for your Ads.. You dont need to worry :p Remember they also state that publishers may not label the Google ads with text other than "sponsored links" or "advertisements" just to clear the Ads below title issue..:D

I was going to say..I couldnt understands why people kept saying its spammy and all that. Wordpress is a brilliant tool though, I think it's better than normal web design now..It's so much more functional to use aswell. I think the site looks great while the ads arent as visible I think it looks tidy and you will get the clickthroughs your after
