My CPC has gone to hell

    Hey guys,

I get an average of 80-200+ clicks a day. Adsense was already paying pretty bad, generally about $.02 per click, then it went up to $.04 with less traffic, and now that my dns servers have been fixed and the site is accessible again, traffic goes up, and I am getting $.005 a click. Very, very disappointing. Does anyone know what I could do, or any other ad companies I could use?

Oh yeah great idea, I'm going to just drop my high traffic site which is over 2 years old and has PR3 just because my CPC is low.

May be AdWords advertisers go smart and found that your site is not not giving them a good ROI. Over all, it is down but check to find out if AdWord advertisers are competing for your site or not.

I have to agree with this poster. Your site doesn't ahve any value for the advertisers.

btw, I meant that you should open another site but I never said that you should forget about that site. Try to use your coconut next time.

I have the same problem with Adsense, but unfortunatly there is NOT a company that can compete with Adsense even though Adsense rate is going down.
I have tried a lot of them like Adbrite, Bidvertiser, Admanage, Smowtion,Globeads,Globaltakeof and so on...., no chance!

I think It's the niche problem and the problem with the clickers itself. Maybe your visitor is not coming from US, UK and CA

Ive got analytics installed, and most my traffic is english speaking. There is a bit of international presence though, but not enough to make my clicks less than a cent.

Yeah, I faced the same problem. You know, something I noticed is that some very similar words can make a huge different. For example, "Dog food" might pay VERY well while "food for dogs" pay bad.

    https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=3

Go there, type your site url, order by Max Bid and try to focus on those keywords & phrases some extra. I did it, and it really really helped. Warning, don't use off-topic keywords, that will most likely just make your CPC worse.

    Thanks for the help.

The keyword I target has an average CPC of $.40 yet I make less than $.01 a click, man, google is really taking a lot into their pocket :)

you are right my friend CPC is really low i got 850 clicks on my site yesterday and i earned less than 10$ but unfortunatly we dont have any other option Only Adsense pays so much. Other companies like chitika bitadvertisers etc pay much more low than adsense.

wow. that's a bummer. Personally. I would rather have a new low traffic site that earns $2 per click, then one that has huge traffic and pays cents per click. In the end, you're doing it for $ right? Do the math. Starting fresh may not be a bad idea.

I can't complain like you guys.

Something changed in adsense. I was making 2 euros per day and now it's well over 20 euros per day over this last week with the same clicks and traffic.

What type of changes might have been introduced, hmm..

Sadly, Adsense pays better than those other sites.

Did you change anything on your site? Themes can cause quite a change.
