You can also download latest version of avast free antivirus and get a free license key just by registering on avast. The antivirus is a full version good software and updates in every 4 hours. It also has a feature of boot scan on demand which deletes the virus without harming windows. I found it best among the free antivirus softwares.

Microsoft Security Essential is all the way. I am using this from the last 1 month & it's just fantastic. Low resource usage with high protection level.

I would also run the McAfee Stinger software - I can't post the link to the website as live links are not available to me yet.

However if you just do a Google search for McAfee Stinger you will find the link easily.

    I found this very useful.

Take a advice of mine, switch to linux and say good-bye to viruses forever. And your thread is misplaced. This forum is for discussion of microsoft as a company, not how to remove your PC from virus. :)

So what are the symptons and what is it doing to your computer i does seem a very vague question,so what security do you have at the moment or dont you have any if not it was just a matter of time to get a virus. With all the free security software available these days its best to have as much protection as possible.

I can highly recommend Malwarebytes and SpybotSD. Both are free programs that do their job effectively.

i have a good knowledge about malware(malicious software).

the easy methods of removing stuff are go to 'safemode with networking' by tapping f8 during bootup (at the very start). this will help alot as the virus wont be as annoying.
then download malwarebytes antimalware free version-
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
then do a quick scan as its just as effective as a full scan. Once the removal is done then you need to downlad a good antivirus. i would recomment avira or avast. They are the best free aviviruses out there. This will help you to preotect your pc.
But make sure you remove any other antivirus you have fore getting avirafree or avast.

You should first do spybot as it is free, then if you want you could switch to ESET antivirus as it is the best one on the market.

No need to go to go to a technician when everything on the internet is downloadble even ESET ;)
