    Hello Guys,

I have a problem with my computer right now. When I turn on my PC for the 1st time of the day it only takes 2-3 hours and then hangs up. The display is still their but it freezes and when I reset/reboot it, it only takes 30 mins - 40 mins and freezes again and the next reset/reboot it will only take 10mins and freezes again. Its getting worst and worst. Is there anyone knows the problem of my PC because I already try to fixed the Casing FAN and change the thermal processor paste but still the problem is still there. Please HELP. I really need my PC back to its normal performance.

I will try what you have said. Is there a possibility or a chance that my processor has a problem causing this hang up?

I don't have antivirus and also I didn't installed a heavy software because its newly formatted. Before my OS was windows XP and its running great and fine but when I try to switch to window 7 and after a week using the window 7, the problem that hangs up started but I never installed heavy software.

    100% Overheating
2-3 hours and then hangs up - At start it still in low temperature
when I reset/reboot it, it only takes 30 mins - 40 mins - Already raised temperature - restart - giving the pc time to cool off a little
the next reset/reboot it will only take 10mins and freezes again - Red hot - almost instant freeeze
Solution - check the cooling system - clean it or replace broken fans etc...

Hmmm.I am not sure..But first you need to contact to a System Administrator..System Admin will assist you frequently...But I had the same issue from that you are suffering from.I cleaned my RAM and saw that it worked..

Azazel has the most likely answer. But you'll have to find out why it's overheating - that;'s not someone can do for you on the internet. As he said, check the fans, clean out the dust, make sure all the vents are clean.

It it gets hot, the CPU "shifts down" in speed first. If it gets slow enough it looks as if it hung up.

try to replace RAM & Harddisk, then clear your CMOS (setting CMOS jumper). or try to reinstall your operating system

you should use an antivirus and run it in risque mode. If it will not then check your start up application and fix it.

My guess is that you need more RAM since you said it was working fine when you were using XP and only started hanging after upgrading to Windows 7. Install more RAM and also check out the fans and make sure the ventilation is working properly. Since you said the computer is newly formatted, then you don't need to re-format it. However, also make sure you install a good antivirus. Some good one's are Norton and Mcafee. For free one's, you an install either AVG or Avira. If all else fails, let me know and I will help you troubleshoot it remotely. All the best.
