You can imagine my shock when I went to check my CJ account yesterday and it was de-activated. All I had to do was check and agree button and it was re-activated, without my previous earnings and without my existing affiliate agreements in place. I had to go around to all my sites and remove the CJ ads. I hadn't used CJ extensively, but did have a couple of CJ ads on my sites for the past year. I guess nobody was buying ink cartridges, letters to santa or godaddy domains Does anyone else think that de-activating my accound without so much as an e-mail was just a little unprofessional? Is there something in their terms of service saying that you need to generate a certain revenue in your first year or you will be de-activated?
It is very unprofessional when they do those type of things without warning. There is something listed if you dont make sales within I believe 6 months they will deactivate you.
Thanks, at least now I know why they deactivated me. I really don't care about the $15, but re-establishing with all my affliates and re-doing all my ads didn't seem worthwhile, especially since I've done much better with adsense anyway. Still, there were a few affiliates that I would have liked to hold on to.
He might have other sites under development that could use them later. Going through all the pages to remove a particular advertiser is a real pain, especially if you use text ads from them. I remember CJ deactivated an advertiser a few months ago, and just after I finished removing their ads, they sent an email saying the problem was solved and it was all good again!
