I'm currently promoting clickbank products on google adwords.
Loaded up about 60 bucks adwords credit, used up $35
and made 2 sales with 1 ad campaign, sales doesn't seem like its going anywhere anymore, btw im currently using content network, i can't afford high cpc.

anyone suggest new products to promote i'd at least want to collect the money i made before i quit clickbank :/

read that i need 5 different sales with creditcards that will take me forever?

You have to look at how much it cost and how much you made. If you made more than the $35 spent to advertise your making money. Look for new products that pay more than $15 a sale and advertise them.

First, I highly recommend you shut off the content network. This is more or less untargetted traffic which is just driving up your click cost.

If you're paying more than $.25 per click, your keywords may not be relevent enough to your ad or to your landing page.

It seems to me that if you made sales, the problem is not the products but in your targetting. If the $35.00 you spent on advertising is less than what you made on those two sales, you're still profitable. If you're not porfitable, pause your campaign and do a little tweaking.

    Hope this helps.

Yes, you can get cheap traffic from content network. Keyword traffic is more expensive, however, it delivers higher quality clicks. If a product doesn't work out, move on to the next one... don't let the gravity score fool you :)

I prefer the free option to be perfectly honest. Simply because I am not bound to anything. For example you have to make sales with your products because you lose out on money. By using the free option all you are tied down to is hosting (which is also free isn't i'm on blogger) and time. So far i've made $400 dollars in about 3ish months and not spent a dime. On average I get about 30 visits a day. I've made $60 dollars in one day, although it then stopped and didn't make anything for the next ten days.

I no I could make more but I don't want to spend anything and for my it seems satisfactory since I only want a little extra to spend.

Hi there. First of all congrats on 2 sales (even if you lost $50.) Don't give up yet. If you want to start making money online quickly then PPC (adwords) is the way to go. Spending $60 is absolutely no indication of whether you're going to make money in the future.

I suggest you start with atleast $300-500 loaded, turn off content match, find a list of keywords that is really specific to the product you're selling, make sure you're landing page looks really professional (if you're using a landing page), and start testing keywords.

Here's a good way to look at content search; If you're trying to start a car company you could advertise in a mailer that's sent out to every house in the state, this would be your content search.... on a 'per set of eyes looking at your ad' basis, this advertising is really cheap........ OR .......

You could spend your advertising dollar putting your ad in a high quality magazine that people buy when searching for a new car. This would reach less pairs of eyes, but every person reading the ad is searching specifically for your service, this is your higher converting search PPC marketing.

Now we've sorted that, you need to accept the fact that you're probably not going to profit from your first experience with IM, just like you don't profit when you're learning at University, you're getting the skills and slowly becoming an expert. Luckily, it doesn't take as long to get the IM game as it takes to get a degree.

I suggest you dedicate $600 to testing your market. Say you've got a group of 150 keywords related to your product. You spend $200 on 1000 clicks at $0.20 each (still not alot to test with.) You may find that after spending all your money you've made $150 off 2 keywords that cost you $50 in clicks, and the other $150 was on keywords that didn't make any sales. Now you can concentrate on those 3 keywords and different variations until you've built enough profit to start re-testing a wider range of keywords.

The fact that you made 2 sales off so few clicks tells me that you should probably give this market a go and see what happens. When testing a new market I'll often spend up to a grand without any overall profit, all the while weeding out non-profitable keywords and discovering the real gems.... that's what PPC marketing is all about.

Sorry for such a long post, but I hope you stay with this. All too often people new to the game get worried about initial signs and waste alot of time switching strategies or in the end give up. Stick with it, read as many posts and suck in as much info as you can, follow the pro's and you'll get there.

Vince I would like to know a couple of things before I bench coach your questions. Much like a doctor would like to x-ray before doing treatment...

You mention your doing less then $60 ppc...... Made 2 sale
Are you hosting your own landing page for the ppc traffic if so please post the page?

How much can you afford to invest in a solid marketing approach?

    Thanks Joe
