Well okay I'll show up my campaign here and what I'm doing but sadly there isn't much traffic coming to my site. I'm not sure why its happening although I'm ranking on the first page and the keyword has good amount of searches too. I see exact keywords and their search amount using Google Insights and Google Adwords Tool. Many of the keywords show 100,000 + Global monthly searches and on Insights they show a score of 70+ for the last 30 days or even 7 days. First of all, I look for micro or even moderate niche websites and then I try to find an exact match .com/org/net domain since they rank better. If I can't find an exact match I still try to include the keyword in the domain. Then I build the website with 4-6 static article pages and a good amount on-site optimization. This always works good to rank on the first page for your keyword without much SEO. Now I bought 2 domains on good search keywords, one had 100,000 global monthly searches and the other one had 16,600,000 global monthly searches. My website ranks #3 and #5 for these keywords on the first page but the traffic is just like 5 or 10 visitors per day. I just can't believe this although the search volume is great. One of the keywords is 2 word keyword while the other is 3 word keyword. If anyone would put some light on what I'm doing wrong or if something I missed, I'll greatly appreciate that. People come, rank on micro-niche websites and earn while I rank on moderate niche websites and earn shit.
But I think I got the reason why I don't got so much traffic. I got fooled big time by Google Adwords Tool and Google Insights. There is a another keyword which shows 1 million global searches on Adwords tool while my keyword shows 16 million global searches on Adwords tool but if I check both individually on Insights, I see both hit a score of 70+ but just now, I tried adding both to compare and guess what, the 1 million search keyword was at 80 and the 16 million searches keyword went down to 14. Can anyone put some light on this? If you can't use Adwords tool to see searches, what else you do then?
Try doing research for keywords that actually bring traffic. Hope that helps, the things mentioned in your campaign are correct.
