    My Calculations Say That China Won!

    1st China won the most gold.

    2nd calculation:

    China: ... Gold: 51 - Silver: 21 - Bronze: 28

    USA: ... Gold: 36 - Silver: 38 - Bronze: 36

    Lets consider: Gold = 3 - Silver = 2 - Bronze = 1

    China: 51x3 = 153 + 21x2 = 42 + 28x1 = 28 = 223


    USA: 36x3 = 108 + 38x2 = 76 + 36x1 = 36 = 220

    Who Wins?

    Yeah i agree, we (the UK) did pretty well too :)

    Someone should do a comparison of population versus medal points :p

    I have heard that the Americans are the only ones to rank by total number of medals which naturally shows them winning.

    Is this true? If it is then that is very sad. They should just admit that they were only 2nd best!

    Yeah the USA had the most # of medals and all participants were of the legal age. :)

    Australia ranked 6th, yet again we completely outperform 90% of the world. Become pretty use to it by now, some people were annoyed we didnt get into the top 5. For a country of 20 million...its incredible we do this time and time again.

    I wouldn't call that cheating, whether or not those girls were of age they
    had to work just as hard as everyone else to win those medals.

    I'd call it illegal though.

    All of the gymnastic girls have to be 16+, some of them were 13 + 14.

    I really hated the whole "fake" thing about the fireworks and the girl singing and everything.. China lost in rep in my view.

    Why would the fireworks be "fake"? The Chinese invented fireworks well over 2,000 years ago.

    Indias FIRST Individual Gold and it also got 2 bronze ! ;) :D
