    Hello,
My brother is willing to join DP, but we share the same IP (as we live in the same house) is there any problem with DP Rules?

Actually, I think it was worth a post, I've seen people get banned for having duplicate accounts before.

People can have duplicate IPs, just not duplicate accounts for the same person.

That's the hard part!! People have been banned for 'duplicate accounts' when they didn't even have duplicate accounts but were different people!!!!

I'd think the easiest way would be typing style. Its easy to make a second username. Its harder in the long run, to make the 2 users have a completely different style of typing (responding to posts, etc) - such as punctuation, grammar, capitalization, etc. Both users would eventually look identical (sans usernames).

You're kidding Shawn....My dad was addicted to your forum until he got sick. I decided to take over his small business in the meantime and you banned me for around 2 months without even taking into reason that it wasn't the same person.....I even PM'd you telling you that we weren't the same people, we lived in the same house, obviously....Don't think I'll forget that Shawn!

Thanks nino for tellin me he was spreading rumors like this...

Okay... I should clarify that then. People should also not share accounts. If you have one account and you also log into "someone else's" account, you will be tagged as well. In your case, your "dad" should never have given you his login info. Ultimately you were using more than one account (regardless of who opened each).

What's up with the "commas"...We never shared accounts, get that in your head Shawn...If we shared accounts, why wouldn't I just use HIS account? Maybe it's because I didn't even know he was registered here!

Wasn't your dad using 'cphosts', and then you registered 'sixty6', and we all thought you were the same person, so you got banned!!!

Really? That's odd. Maybe someone hacked your account on V7N to post that you have been using his account. Seems like a strange thing to say if you didn't use that account and you didn't even know he had an account here, don't you think?

    http://www.v7n.com/forums/new-member-introductions/24932-cphosts-sixty6.html

Also seems kind of strange that your dad works for you when you said before it was his hosting company, and you were helping HIM out because he got sick.

The password for his V7N account was the same as the password for his WHM account. Since I usually helped him out with the design, I obviously knew the password for cphosts.com and the password was the same root password.

I didn't know the password for DP, it could have been anything.

And that post was AFTER I got banned from DP. That's mainly why I'm a V7N person. DP is too huge that there are too much people. I like V7N because it has a moderate amount of people who are helpful.

Also, why do you think that I would let everyone know who I REALLY am AFTER I changed my screename?

Think over that Shawn, maybe you might be able to figure it out...

    All I know is you said you used his account on this forum, then later said you never even knew he had an account. {shrug}

    Then later...
I really don't have time to figure out which of your statements is true, so I'll just assume they are all true.
