My brand new site. Id appreciate some advice/suggestions

i started a blog yesterday about a game called fallout 3 which is a new game on the xBox 360 which will be out soon. I thought this would be wise because im expecting this game to be huge, so people will be eager to look things up about it etc. Seeing as my site is only two days old im not expecting any traffic at the moment, in these early days im only taking baby steps like building up high quality content. and trying to internal link my posts to each other as much as i can.

Do any of you webmasters have any sort of advice you can give me to improve my site in any way?

Just anything about the site that you think could be done better. All suggestions taken on board and greatly appreciated

i like the colors and the background

however the blue is very tacky

try a white, a deep orange color

 

If you want to keep this as legit and userfriendly as possible, you probably shouldn't have made it using a blogger blog.

Buy a domain for like $5
and hosting for like $20

The site itself is good, the layout is nice and the colors blend in well.
You should probably utilize other ad blocks, besides just link units. Because the ones you have there can easily be overseen and not clicked.

 

theoretically I think your blog should reflect upon keywords surrounding this game. A WordPress blog would probably be a better choice and would make the search engines work harder on adding your keyword density and to really advertise your website or blog

.Search engine optimization is probably probably a key factor within the game that you're trying to advertise now keep your eye on the keyword phrases that you are using. Exactly which keyword are you trying to the phrase on the search engines have you figured that out yet

.That's my bias as far as search engine optimization per keyword and key phrases as far as getting gamers to come in and comment on your blog you need to target the advantage.

 

-I would suggest purchasing a domain name like whatezv stated.
-Keep your site content up to date, and write articles on cheat codes and mods. Like most gamers they are always searching for this type of stuff.
-Join some of the gamer forums and answer questions and give advice. This will encourage people to visit your site.

 

I agree above that is a very relevant post about you get more search engine rank into your website .

writing articles to WordPress blogs posting about gaming and game on and everything else related to that niche phrase keyword saturation hands will get you more traffic and people consistently following your WordPress blogs about gaming it is a very very saturated application online so

- I chose blogger becasue lots of people have told me that google spiders blogspot sites alot more efficiantly. Dunno whether thats BS but... :S

How are you going to provide good information on a game which is not yet available? Why would someone come to your blog if you don't know how to play the game?

This post is confusing.

You are banking on the build it and they will come theory, because the game will be popular?

 

as far as hosting there your website on a good hosting server you probably should hostmonster.com.

they have a very reliable source as far as server and customer service.

Make sure you buy a niche domain

 

Im a fan of the previous two games and know then practically inside out, so i dare say ill pick this one up pretty quick internetmarketingiq.

and as for "build it and they will come" im just getting my blog a little established right now so when the game is out and i start documenting it properly i will have already put my site out there and hopefully have it listed by search engines etc.

Site looks great except for the dark blue text in the header.

 

I would also suggest a .com related to the game since there are well not sure any more websites that make thousands just from myspace add ons and such so if this game is a big as halo then there will be allot of searches an you can get some serious traffic which means serious advertising which means serious money

so joining the site a hosted blog and a few gaming site ezines it could potentially do well

I agree the blue doesnt fit, I recommend also trying a different font.

 

The site is pretty good for me. But why don't you buy yourself a domain name and hosting for this site? it is pity to have such good site without it's own name really. Besides you can personalize this site of yours if you have your own domain and promote it with much confidence.

 

I thought the look of your webite was quite good, and I also thought that your website was quite easy to use. Well done.

 

The Blue color before the photograph in the banner is difficult to read,

make it white, cream or offwhite, it will make it better and readable
