Hey my blogger blog has been declared as spam by blogger itself. So I cannot post or edit anything. I filed a review appeal on 20 february. I wanna ask that how much time do they take to review and what's the success rate?
No not at all. I've researched about it and found out that I am not the only person whose blog has been locked by blogger. In fact there are many other bloggers too who faced this but eventually there blogs were reinstated by blogger. Google itself says that its bot is "over zealous" in assuming some one's blog as splog.
Who knows. But I am hopeful that they will unlock it. I am just curious that how much time will they take.
that's strange, if the blog goes along with their TOS, why would they block it? i started to think that they block blogs randomly ...could it be :s
They don't do it randomly but after my incident, I researched about it and reached to a conclusion that there's some "bug" in the google software. It sometimes gets over excited.
Maybe blog owners reported it after you started mass spamming their commenting system. I fully approve of this practice. The most spam blogs get taken down, the less headache for serious webmasters.
I do try to get backlinks by commenting. But as far as I remember I did not try to post spam comments like "Nice article. Keep it up" or "great article" e.t.c I always tried to post serious and value adding comments on other blogs. However I confess that I used to spam comment for my other blog. But I have abandoned this practice. The irony is that my old blog is still there. However I have now stopped posting in it. As far as contacting them is concerned, I have contacted them via blogger/google help forum and waiting for their response.
maybe your competitors report you as spam? most spam complaints are from users .. software detected spam is rare...
