My "Blog XML Feed URL" is acting odd...

I have just tried attaching a blogger blog feed to DP and it seems to be getting confused.

Is this because of the new "beta" blogger format?

If seems that there are 2 "link" lines at the top of the feed, one to my bloc, and one to the feed itself. DP picks up the second and sends people to my feed, not my blog!! [edit: actually that's not it, so I dont know what it is!]

    Any ideas?

Looks like the "Recent Blog:" feature will no longer work with blogger since they updated to the beta version.

I have put a manual link in my sig and will update it as often as I remember.

    Pity to lose a feature!!

It seems that the "Recent Blog:" feature only works with the deprecated Atom 0.3 spec and Blogger has started using Atom 1.0 feeds for new blogs.

That gives a version 1.0 Atom feed.

The DP "Recent Blog:" feature only works with the old version 0.3 feed.

Blogger recently changed over, so if you recently started your blog you can't link it to DP

    www.feedburner.com

Create an account and you'll get an RSS URL i.e. www.feeds.feedburner.com/yourname

I think this is the only way to get an RSS feed via Blogger, because it only works with Atom XML, and not many sites accept this.

EDIT: Yup it does - just added my feedburner RSS feed in Options and its worked fine.

    Thanks!!

It worked - but I had to know what I was doing... I used the "Convert Format Burner" to convert from Atom 1.0 to Atom 0.3

Ah so the problems are not to do with it's Atom, but the version. Hasn't Blogger got with the times yet?! Glad it worked out.

Blogger is with the times - that's the problem: DP isn't

Atom version 0.3 has been deprecated since 1.0 was released almost exactly a year ago, yet that is all that DP seems to support!

As far as I can tell the new version of Blogger does verion 1.0 Atom feeds. This new version is in beta at Blogger.com, but for some strange reason if you log in to Blogger with your Google login you automatically get the beta version and can't use the old style!
