Hi , I just started a small blog a while ago, and I ranked in the 2nd page and then on the 1st page on Google....but suddenly...my traffic dropped and I'm not on the pages 1-15!! I don't think im ranking at ANY page anymore I used to rank for : Themes for sony Ericsson with this blog: Themes for sony Ericsson I dunno wot happened? I also think the crawling rate has become very slow as my latest post isn't indexed yet....The only thing I remeber was posting the blog link on xomba.com as a "xomblurp" just to discover it's nofollow...can this affect the ranking? if not , then what the hell happened? Any Idea on how can I restore my blog to the first page? Should I keep building links or change the blog URL and start all over again?? thanks alot
This is typical with new sites - you will rank well for a short period of time (2-3 weeks) and then drop out of the rankings. This is because your site is new (sandbox) and will have to wait before you will rank for any competitive terms. It can sometimes take a year or more. Just keep building backlinks and improving your site.
This happens sometimes so I suggest that you give it some time... In the meantime I suggest that you keep building backlinks
This happened to me, my new site got indexed quickly and was on top at the google search engines than dropped dramatically. Just keep working on the back links, can never have enough.
mjewel was right. Newly submitted content will be given a temporary boost and will rank quite well before it starts to decline. Just focus on your link building effort to sustain the position.
I think is all about you missed by the people who have more seo more powerfull they you do and it takes your fresh new energy to take that position back on track
This is qite normal. Keep working and some day you'll find your site in a top again. But don't push to hard. If you add too much backlinks at a time - your website might be penalized.
I have seen it happening with new sites, most probably you might have never did some link building to maintain the SERP. Try building some quality backlinks and you can gain back your position.
your website age also play a good role. mostly those website that have higher age will get priority, provided they have a lot quality back link too.
Try to build more backlinks, being a webmaster isn't achieved from just owning a domain, it takes work and effort.
Same things happens when your site is inactive for more time means one week or more. Same happened with one of my friends site.
That shows your blog have a good potential of gaining good ranking on google. Once your blog is established with more quality contents and backlinks, it'll be there consistently.
The competition seems to have caught up with you! Keep putting in more efforts over a longer time frame and you would see consistency in your serps as well! Regards, RightMan
