Help... I have had my blog for almost 2 months. And starting 5 days ago theres a huge traffic drop and soon I realized that Google is penalizing me. I'm very sure the problem was bcos .. my background color was matching with my post. I intentionally did that to hide some text. but I didn't know its considered as violation till today. I have requested google a consideration, and tell them what's going on. I do still get traffic from google, but 99% traffic is not relevant to my blog. Can anyone tell me if I ever get my good serp back? and how long the penalty last? Also, Is that true too much backlink traffic from digg.com, reddit, or digitalpoint can lead to google penalty for a young blog?
Whatever tha cases .. within 2 months the site will not be penalized...bcz its a probationery period and will take time to comeout from it.
Penalty from google can be because of many reasons. Find out the reason first and then the solution will come automatically.
You're a bad boy 1. Remove any hidden content. 2. Contact Google or wait. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time for a penalty to expire. 6-12-18-24 months. Contacting Google is not of a great help. It's just a myth (unless of course you don't submit each and every page of your brand new blog, then you go right in the sandbox).
If you just keep building relevant links for your website assuming that you have already been building links then you shouldn't have much of a problem getting your rankings back. If I were you I would start commenting on dofollow Blogs and writing articles with a link back to your site.
I Think U need to Recheck, what's Ur blog is Really Banned from google ?? Tips, U need to rebuild your contents and get back link again.. But, Blog that's banned from google is hardness to Unbanned
Same here mate... I got my blog penalized too since Christmas and can't get out of there. I try to rank for competitive keywords. I build huge links and get huge traffic boost from google for 2 weeks. But after that... It's gone to zero... only Yahoo and MSN give me traffic now.
Doesn't matter you get banned by google, just keep going and build your visitor base... they eventually unbanned you. and also start optimizing on MSN, ASK and YAHOO....
I have contacted google and removed the hidden content. In the meanwhile, should I stop blogging? cos it will not be indexed on google's first page anyway? all my pages that used to be indexed on first page are gone. So u're tryin to say that submitting new article on digg or blogcatalog.com is not good? because blogcatalog is putting my new post on their site automatically and I got traffic from them too.
