My Blog Is Damaged!

    Hello everyone,

I don't know whether or not it is a database error causing this (I saw an error displaying early today before everything returned back to normal).

Anyways, I visited my blog to discover that all of the plugins are deactivated, and the pages are emerged with the posts. You can see the created pages with the posts and are under "uncategorized" category.... no page is displaying in the pages section.

What is the cause of this? And is there anyway I can transfer the pages to the pages section again, automatically? as it is kindda impossible to do it manually... too many pages.

    1.
you did NOT give any blog URL
    nor
any details on blogs SW used
    !!
    ??

    2.
if you have a mysql driven blog, then simply restore the db from your backups
if necessary restore your templates as well
that is valid for all regular blog SW

    3.
after above you may have to figure out how your blog could become damaged - may be hacker ??

Contact your hosting provider. Some hosting services powered with cpanel put mysql down while performing software upgrade sand sometimes you can see your database rolled back while this process last [IMG]

If such upgrading is actually an ongoing work you will be able to access your data with no major trouble as soon as finished but remember that you should always make a backup of your db as a "hard copy" to be saved into your PC, just in server failure case [IMG]

back up your database ASAP. Consider restoring from a backup if the problem persists.

    1. Always do a backup of your site daily if not every other day.
    2. Provide URL so those of us who know coding/programming can let you know details
    3. Sometimes Hosting/servers get an upgrade such as with apache et cetera. And at times messys up your blog. Sometimes it fixes itself within hours. If not contact your hosting company first to make sure its them first.

dont worry, everything will be okay. Just back your database up and have a little patience and your blog will be back to normal soon.

    Thanks for the help guys...

I've fixed most of the mess...

The only problem that is remaining, is that the pages of my blog
united with the posts and are all under the posts section!

I can't manually re-create the pages as it'd require so much time.
Isn't there any plugin maybe to transfer posts to pages and vice
    versa?

I don't want to use the backup copy I had, as it is 2 months old
and so many changes have been done ever since. I am now backing
up every single day... just in case!

I just wish I could find a solution to the pages delimma, and would
really like to know the main cause of this mess.

Already contacted my host, but still no reply.
