my best work so far? what do you think?

i'm very proud of this design, but of course, thats just me. i was hoping i could get some feedback here. i'm really jealous i wish it was the design of my blog, but i know i can think of something even better... maybe.

The design is unique in style and uncontemporary.

It exudes a different character, a kind of mixed emotions from the author.

I think the design is just right for the blog blending well with contents.

i am open to any criticism here. i'd like to improve it, but since i'm so happy with it at the moment, its hard for me to see any problems. so fresh eyes would help a lot, thank you!

great job, the design is so refreshing lolz.. that's the first adjective that popped in my head.

 

I like the splashy graphics and I also like the newspaper-ish design but together I don't think they work. If you are going to do something really creative make the whole thing creative.

Nice. Not enough contrast though, I think the text should be a little darker and the splashy background a bit lighter, so that they are clearly separated.

 

@math20, the idea was an organized mess so thats why its like that. i didnt want to go overboard with the design of the content because the sides are such a mess already i thought it would be kind of overwhelming. i quite like it so maybe this one's down to personal preference?

@penagate, the grey i've used for the images is the same grey for the text. so yes, contrast is between background and text is low. i'll see what the author of the blog thinks about increasing it, thank you!
