I think it depends. If you have a website which provides real service or products then classifieds will give you a great deal of profit. Sites which rely on content, classifieds is not your cup of tea?

 

SEO trick? There really aren't any tricks which are white hat. I know the stuff I use that works the best is the stuff I wouldn't post on a forum.

I am doing SEO from last 4 years and I found this thread interesting.

My SEO tricks are:
- Press Release
- Social Bookmarking
- Article writing ( most of these days are nofollow tag)
- I also hire some people to post some other stuff like ebooks on the websites.
- I also do SMO on Facebook and MySpace

The best SEO trick for anyone should be writing contents. Whether its articles, PR or anything on your website.

Not even classified ad.... Article submission, forum posting and blog creation and updation can also give you a huge traffic.

 

there is no trick stick to basics. as alan said. That is what makes you stay in top for years.

 

For me its a mixture of things - I do a bit of everything, forum posting, article writing, blog commenting, high PR backlinks and i try to drip feed them on a weekly basis - it works for me and ensures my sites stay at or near the top (most of the time!)
