Key ingredient is a ton of friends and a ton of videos. Ratio? Well, I am not sure. I do think the youtube and google search rank videos high if they have lots of views, votes and comments. If your channel has ton of subscribers, you also are more "trusted" by search, I imagine. I think having many videos that have many views and lots of comments may be more important than having many friends. If you can record yourself on video, you could try making a video anytime you update your blog, and give away some great tips or suggestions in each video. Then go look for friends on youtube with similar interest and get them to subscribe to you. If you have many subscribers, you can get a lot of website traffic just by publishing a new video.
