I guess the new owner isn't doing such a good job with it? Because Morgan did a great job with the site before, I even worked for her like 5 months ago. Business was coming in fast.
What a shame one company has ruined the reputation for the other legitmate ones. I don't blame people for casting judgement and forming negative opinions - I'm sure I would too if I was in your situation. I think once the dust settles, and the newbies figure out that this is far from a "let it run itself" type business, then the real winner will shine through. Too many people get into this thinking they can just hire kids off the net to post for them - well it doesn't work like that. I work 6-8 hours per day on this business - am I crazy? No, I'm not. I just take it seriously, it's not a hobby. It's a job. And I plan to improve myself this year too. I'm going to bump this thread in a year's time and see who is still around then, and who has built up reputation - I'm going to guess that figure will be around 2% of the total companies who are around today.
Mostly people think paid posting companies are just useless, well in some way it is and in some way it isn't. Everyone knows that after the writers finish their job they would just leave, and its a fake community, yes that happens, but sometimes they do stay, I am one of those writers that stayed at one forum after I worked for one company. (5 Months Ago) But it is a good forum boost, if you just started your forum, our services is a good way to kick start your forum. Some service owners do quit, but I think they would rather choose selling it to someone else and they'll just continue. If i would quit, which I won't soon, I would sell it, unless they want to leave their site to rot or let it expire.
Let me clear this up once and for all. I have purchased PAIDPOSTS.COM earlier this year and nobody is getting ripped off by me. Maybe the previous owner did not take the time to take care of the jobs that HE got paid for. However all the old jobs even the ones that I have not received the payment for (ie all the jobs before jan 15th) are being taken care. Some of the neglected jobs are gold and silver posts which takes a while to complete but they are being completed. I do not like all this negative publicity regarding my new business as we run a legitimate company. This company is owned by www.ingenuity.net which is a international software development firm with very high profiled clients. There is no reason to rip anybody off as it does not make us rich. To the poster who claims all posting services are a scam, I would disagree. Maybe not all the forum owners are as smart as you and can get the forum to take off in a short period of time. These posting companies is an innovative way to boost a forum naturally which will drive more users who would like to participate and therefore help your forum grow. There was an article on Sitepoint about this recently and I don't think they would promote an industry that is considered a "SCAM" I am sorry for all the ex clients who was mad at the previous owner but it is out of my control. I can assure you that the jobs received after my purchase was completed as agreed and for clients who do not like to wait a couple of weeks for the jobs to be completed. They received their refunds without any hassle. We sell ecommerce platforms that sell between $50,000 to $300,000 and we are not interested in stealing your money. Please do not continue to bad mouth our business, if you have any issue regarding old jobs that you paid for prior to jan 15th, you may email me at tedc@ingenuity.net and I can look up where your job stands. Thanks for listening everyone.
Not all posting services are a scam and I say this as a poster. If you ever hire a posting company I work for, I will not mention any names so my reliability isn't decreased, you will not be disappointed in my work. There are plenty of good posters out there looking for some spare cash...you just have to look harder for them. I for one would never accept payment for a job the client is not satisfied with...I know plenty of posters will post illegible, useless crap on boards but that is just something you have to filter out. I would suggest setting tougher standards for your posters...maybe even pay per quality not quantity.
uhh.... all the complaints were coming from people who have ordered service the previous owner was running the site. We are trying very hard to complete a bunch of old jobs that he got paid but did not do. He had probs completing the jobs, he had trouble paying the writers. All that have stopped now. Writers now are getting paid more than ever and ON TIME every time. Clients are getting their posts done as agreed to and there is no new problem. I keep seeing the old clients who have paid prior to February keep on complaining, and other users who know nothing about what is going on keep saying they heard this and that which is totally uncalled for. In reply to the comment from the other user about paying for posts is wrong, I would like to point out that this is a fairly new iindustry that actually helps forum owners, what does a forum look like when a new user signs up and sees 5 posts all from the forum owner? or he can log on and see a new forum with 300 posts, 1000 posts etc. which one would you join? If sitepoint did an article on it after using services from 3 providers a couple of months ago for the article, I think this proofs to be a valid industry. No where did they say companies that create posts for payment is a scam as obviosuly it is not. anyways this paidposts ripping off me and him and this and that is getting old, lets try and move on. the old clients, be asssured you will get what you paid for from the new ownership so why not ck your forums if it is getting new posts from us recently, if so please wait before griping some more about our services.
I'm sure you have set things straight Human. But to prove to people you have you might need to do something more then rant about how you don't want people badmouthing the company. Maybe enter a contest with other forums to show how well your service is now? I would take your word that things are turning around, but that doesn't mean people who had a problem with the service beforehand will. Just something to keep in mind.
wow. this guy is surely not going to help the bad mouthing of the posting business for sure. nice prices though, but i cannot imagine what kind of posts you will get for that kind of pricing?
i plan on catching up all the old jobs before we restructure some more. We are open to ideas on new PRs etc. but i'd rather take care of those unhappy clients who have paid last yr and not get what they paid for before i think of looking for new business.
how about u go back 2 grade skuul be 4 u starts making a posting service. a 5 year old haz better english skillz dan u hav!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well Basically, I am too sure that my English is quite better than you.I was just being short there dude and if you have so much problem then ignore it. Now Rate this Post!!
If u had been serious about a business that iz posting on other peoples message boardz, u would alwayz post like a professional...if u really wanted business, since it's your potential customers that would see your posts. Post bad and you can bet you'll get a bad reputation before you even get business. As ur current reputation blob here shows, it's not looking very well 4 u!!! I don't have a message board posting service, so I can post like a n00bie as much as I want with out needing 2 worry about losing any busizness!!!
