I could attest to this. I created a profile site for Zune about 3 years ago. It was a simple website. No sales pitch, just a simple profile about Zune. It had less than 50 visits a day. I got a sale, my first Amazon earning.

But I was working fulltime then. Never really put much effort into it. My intention was to sell the website later which I was not able to do. I just had the domain expired.

This topic encourages me to do affiliate marketing. Will follow your tips.

A question for you, are you using any amazon store builder software in your site or your visitors know that they are buying from amazon? Which one of them do you suggest?

Yeah, I am asking from where do you have so targeted visitors if it's not a google/bing. I call BS and it's still Google/Bing, I had even higher conversions with them.

Do you think it's a good idea to use the payment page for products like they do at the check out in some stores, for example you may have perfumes on the counter in a jewellery store or confectionery by the checkout in a supermarket...or am I just being greedy now.

Plus, whats up with his advertising fee? He says he's selling kindles and turkey fryers. The turkey fryer is around $120, yet his 159 sales for revenue of $8700, Are you leaving out the part about you only making 5%? That's only about $435 to you and your advertising rev is $600. Are you using PPC, I think that is illegal to sell amazon products unless I'm mistaken.

He also mentioned Mturk and clicking on the"like" button that sounds to me that you are using social networking and hiring people on Mturk to click your like button a bunch of times. Maybe that is his add fee? Using Facebook to promote your affiliate products is also illegal. This whole thing is fishy to me.

Plus I went to the site that I think is yours: www.indoorelectricturkeyfryer.com (maybe this isn't your, I appologise if it isn't. But nothing else is ranked higher and to sell that many you would have to be ranked well.) These type of sites suck, they don't offer anything to anybody. Its just the same review from another site reworded. Its this kinda junk on the internet that hopefully won't be around for much longer. Buying a site, writing some pointless review, and all of a sudden you make thousands of dollars....then to make it worse you have success so then you stamp out 50 more crappy websites. I do not see a future where this continues. People want quality.

Wow, I provide tips and I get bashed for it. For the people who think I'm using google or a social networking site please read "None of my visitors are from google or any social network. I've found a new way to promote my website that no one knows about. Once I polish and perfect this method I will share it with you guys, but right now I will post my experience and advice.", this was on my first post, so that means my new strategy has nothing do with google search or ppc, so please stop saying that it is. All my tips I provided were from strategies I used in the past. Also indoorelectricturkey.com is not my site.

Now the way I got traffic to my website was through eBay. There you go, secret revealed. Am I going to reveal how I did it? NO. I didn't use any black hat techniques and I followed both Amazon and eBay TOS, but people probably aren't going to read that and I think I did. I was going to reveal how I did it, but there are users on here who say my method is BS, so I guess they know how I promoted on ebay without putting a link or an iframe in the listing and made $9000 (at 8.5% not 5%) for December so if anybody wants to know ask them.

Anyways, sorry for the rant, just tired of people who can't think outside of the box, so they call your method BS. The people that do know how, I provided an avenue for you. Basically there are some products that sell more on ebay than amazon for example the kindle was one of the products I promoted. I sold 550 kindles for November and December, so figure out a way to promote your website on eBay and make sure you read the TOS of both sites before you try anything.

Amazon is a great source of monthly income. There's plenty of niches available for all of us. ;)
