My Alexa went mad, what's going on

I just published a post and I noticed AlexaRank has changed to 280,390 for every single article and category page except for three static pages (INDEX,ABOUT,MY VISITORS - 474,921) so I'd like to know what's going on. I hope you know the answer.

I think it's this week's Alexa update but why has it changed for every single post but the index page? Something fishy is going on here.

Alexa is updated constantly - there's no such thing as "this week's Alexa update".

Also, Alexa ranks the domain - it doesn't rank individual pages. It could be a glitch in the toolbar that causes different ranks to be displayed for the different pages.

How it normally works is that it wouldn't matter which page you are on, the toolbar should show the Alexa rank *for the domain*.

I don't have a toolbar, I use SearchStatus Firefox plugin that shows PageRank, AlexaRank and Compete Rank of websites as I surf them. I think it was a glitch as you have suggested because it's OK now but I didn't know Alexa updates daily. I thought updates are done every week.

alexa updates on daily basis..and ranks are for a domain (no single pages..no posts..)...sometimes the toolbars get mad due to internet connectivity....
