my alexa rating hasn't changed for three days

I don't know why, my alexa rating at http://www.7-hobby.com hasn't changed for three days. I update blogs and SNS everyday, and do some bookmark work and directories submission as usual. What happed to my site? what can I do to increase my alexa ranking?

What does Google Analytics tell you about your traffic? Alexa rank is very limited in its scope, accuracy and relevance, I would be more concerned with the actual traffic figures.

 

I do think only traffic could affect alexa ranking,If you didn't see the increase of the ranking.It means your traffic is steady in the past three days.Yoiu may should join more forums and do blog commenting to get more traffic.Thus, you will see the alexa ranking increase.

 

Alexa rank is certainly not an important metric for a website, its just the count of visitors with Alexa toolbar installed on their systems.

You should be worried if your Google Analytics reports are not good.

It doesn't matter if the Alexa rank is not being updated. Usually it takes more time (week, month or more) to show you the results. Just forget about alexa ranking and concentrate on your website traffic (how to increase and how to improve your website's performance in the search engines etc). Once you've more website traffic then your alexa ranking will be also improved.

 

Do you mean the link suggested by kiosukia? I don't know, I had a look but it doesn't say where these links actually come from so I didn't go any further.

 

What Google Analytics say about your site? Does it show some kind of increase in traffic?

alexa ranking not update everyday. It usually up date every 3-4 days or more so don't expect to see your alexa change everyday

Its not always necessary to see increase in Alexa rank even if you're doing good in traffic.

 

Yes, that's a good point. A site could have 1000 new visitors a day but if none of them have the Alexa toolbar the ranking will not change. Google Analytics is much more reliable.

Alexa is shit anyway... who cares... I am surprised that someone actually looks that often into their Alexa rank, doesn't it update every three months anyway - so... arghhh why am I bothering - it's shit.
