They arn't that much here if you know where to go :) I can get smashed on about £10-15 ($20-$30) in pubs/clubs around here.

Muslim countries will always be more expensive, less people drink in them so places that sell alcohol will want to make a bigger profit on everything they sell.

I knew the first foreign country I would visit would be Egypt. Not until I was in my 40's could this happen. When I got off the plane in Cairo, I looked at all the people scurrying around on the airport and thought, "Who are these people? They are not the ones I left so long ago."

Turns out I cried all the way through the Cairo museum, (and no tissue in sight!) rememering the "Ancient Egypt" section with the sarcophogus. I felt I had come home, but so much had changed!

Not really anything weird...seemed like they loved their grilled meat loads though.

I had koshry and flafel...but i've had them before.

Thats just went straight over my head. I think you should go see a shrink, might sort out your head a bit. :p:rolleyes:

Dew was available. Although it's not in the UK (well not really, only in a few shops, here in Scotland we have Irn-Bru to keep us alive anyway, no need for MD).

Also the seafood seemed to be 10x the size of things you get here. Like their shrimp (which I would consider to be small, maybe an inch or 2) were about a foot long.

I'll send you some bru if you like, just need your address.
I love it, also their adverts are pretty good/amusing, like this one :p or this one
