hmmm well I was just looking I can't find anywhere that it says one account per household. If anyone finds it let me know. I'd be interested to read it. Other then that I feel I have followed the rest of the rules. I'm trying out YPN right now but I'd hate to not be able to go back to AS.
As others have said, I doubt 2 clicks would get you banned. Accidental clicks happen. Anyways, I would suggest calling up google. Talk to a real person. Might atleast get some of your money. Even better, have your wife call... Worth a shot, nothing to lose.
2 clicks will get you banned. 1 click will. I dont really use adsense so its no big lose to me so I am just going to forget about it.
Every person I've seen banned has done something wrong when you dig a little and start pushing them. Lesson - build a genunie quality site and you'll be safe.
yea i agree, i actually clicked my own ad's and then sent them an email telling them i clicked my own ad's. i had just signed up and was wondering how come i had no stats so i was clicking away for like 3 hours lol finally i sent an email saying "why arent my stats showing? i keep clicking my ad's but nothing happens, blah blah blah" =x
Well I guess that is good.. Although it seems like you are blaming google and being mad at them for something you did. That is simply not true Aaron. You can cling to it to defend yourself, but it is not why you or anyone else got banned. Some more happened. Sorry. That is reality. When I first got here the paranoia level regarding adsense was ridiculously high. People constantly hand-wringing and worrying that they might get banned from adsense for looking at their monitor wrong. Things have settled down tremendously in the last several months and sanity and reality have sunk in. I don't want people exxagerating or mis-stating tales about how/why they got banned to bring that back. What ususally happens to people is they get iamsmarterthangoogleitis and when it turns out it was just the vapors, they get caught and get upset about it. And of course they are not going to come clean in a public forum, at least not right away. I will re-state for the 500 millionith time. Adsense is not a toy and it is not a game.
You can technically get back into adsense but it will cost you about $300. I dont know if it is worth it to you.
I did drop it long time ago in my first post. I said I dont care about it but people kept saying I am lying which I dont see why they would. I could care less about Google because I dont use it but I dont like being told that I am lying about it. I clicked 2 ads, got banned. End of my story.
Is it that serious? I must have clicked accidentaly several times in the adds... I don't know, maybe 10 times or so since I set them up in February.... And the first day I set them up I tested them 3 times... clicking 3 diferent adds to see how it worked... does that mean I am in trouble?
I just got AdSense up less than 30 days ago and all seemed to be going well. The day my pin number came in the mail is the day that I got the e-mail from Google saying I was banned. I might of clicked on one of my own adds but if I did I did not realize it. I have appealed to Google but I have not heard back from them, we will see what happens. Jeff
With the immense coding skills google engineers have, I think they can easily build an automatic click validation system that will prevent revenue leak from fraud clicks. I wonder why they are not even trying to build such a system. IMO, that will always increase their overall income. More valid clicks => More income. [ Publishers happy, adwords guys happy and everybody happy ]
Do use the Adsense approved formats only. Do keep your click-through data and income private. Don't display Adsense on registration or thank you pages. Don't use Adsense code and a competitor's content-targeted advertisement on the same page. Don't encourage anyone else to click on ads. Don't click on the site's own ads ever.
I may be wrong seeinga as im new to adsense but i didnt think that the account got banned unless you did something very very serious. For bad clicks i was always under the impression that the site was banned not the account.. Can someone clarify this for me?
I think your are wrong on this, When I was banned my whole account was banned and no ads will show on any of my websites. Google just pulls the plug. Jeff
