I've been writing a stock blog for the past two years with about 400 articles posted. The blog gets 10-15,000 impressions a month and has a CTR of 2-3%. My Adsense Revenue is about $100-$150 a month. How are some people making this amount per day? I'm reading wildly different stories on the forum where some people have a CTR of 1% and others look like they are about to top 10%. I've done all the SEO work I can think of in content optimization. I have built probably 30 or so targeted links from decently ranked blogs in my subject. What can I do to improve my Adsense Revenue?
I seem to have more links than most people on their stock blogs. Some stock blog have less than 10 links from other people, yet I see their Alexa Rank is much higher than my own. It looks like all natural traffic so I am totally confused why.
15k impressions / month is not that much. Actually $150 are just fine for this kind of traffic. Get more loyal visitors.
You should feel fortunate to make $100 from 10,000 impressions. I get over 10,000 impressions a day, but I don't make $100 a day.
Does anyone know how legitimate blogs get an explosion of traffic? Is it just luck? Two more newbie questions: How do you add multiple exact keyword phrases to your title? For example if I want to use the phrase "Online Stock Investing" it looks weird by itself without other words around it. I heard that google will rank your site higher for that phrase if it is alone in the title. As far as anchor text, it is true that bolding and making the link the same as the phrase in the title a way to get an article indexed quickly? I keep hearing that this kind of SEO content optimization is useless in the eyes of Google. Other than building tons of links, is there any other way to drive traffic to the site? I don't think anyone can sit around sending hundreds of e-mails out to relevant sites asking for a link, or do they?
you have got nice amount of CTR and got lots of impressions! but getting 100-150$ months is very less!
Try some social media sites like Digg, propeller.com and del.icio.us for bringing instant traffic to your site that will surely help you earn more revenue from adsense
This forum is such a great resource. I integrated Digg into my blog already and several social networks. The problem is I normally get one or two people digging my posts at most. How can some low traffic sites get a crazy amount of diggs. This is another question for me.
I post to Digg.com but haven't tried propeller yet. I guess the max I can do is roughly double my current traffic. So is 2-3% the best I should expect for CTR? Any advice to improve CPC rates?
Try normal website other than blog, it is do well with search engines, you focus on a specific less competitive keyword for every page.
Well I adjusted my title and keywords thanks to advice on this forum. I paid for a few link building services and submitted my article to a network of blogs. I'm waiting to see if there is any effect. In the past week I have been doing about $6 a day in AdSense, thats almost a 20% improvement.
Do you have good adsense optimization? There can be a big difference in what you earn on where you place your ads and what ad blocks you use.
I wouldn't worry to much about anyone's Alexa Rank. I have heard it is pretty easy to manipulate and that it does not really give a websites true standing.
