Why would you reduce the posting frenquency? I think the best thing to do is to act as if you were not interested/aware of your Google ranking at all, don't you think?

Nope, acting as if nothing happened won't help at all. What is point posting 2-3 articles everyday when I know they won't rank for the next few months because of the "google filter"?

They will when the filter will be over. Actually they may even rank better because they will be older?

When exactly did you put your site online? I'm curious to know when does Google decide to sandbox a site. Is your niche competitive? I ask because I just put a new site online (less than two months ago), I already rank #6 for some of my targeted keywords and I haven't seen any sandboxing yet. This new site is my first real SEO driven project so I do not have experience with the sandbox.

The project is nearly 3 months old. My niche ain't competitive. Pretty moderate. I just started link building (not at all aggressive). 4-5 links a week with a combination of article marketing and directory submissions.

I am not sure yet if I am sandboxed. It could be a database update too, as there are rumors of an active PR update. That is the reason I said, I am going to watch for a few more days before I conclude.

The sandbox happens for keywords not for whole sites. So I think it would be smart to keep writing articles for less competitive keywords.

I am already targeting low competitive niches.

Wow those are some good goals. I'm doing something similar but I don't nearly have the same kind of determination or drive that you do. I have about 20 articles written, I need to do a lot more. Good luck, I hope you make boatloads of money in adsense.

Squat, stay focused and you will see the light. I have published over 135 articles as of today.

    UPDATE

I wasn't sandboxed after all. I believe it was some sort of a database update. My rankings are coming back and there has been a 25% increase in my traffic. So far so good.

Marketsnipers has been banned temporarily because he bumped the thread with a "Please PM me more details" message. You guys can contact him when he is back. I was sent this message from him to make sure no more bumps are made.

Banned for doing that once??? I thought you got a warning first?

This has been one of the most interesting and intelligent conversations I've seen around here in a long time and hope the ban isn't for long and the conversation can continue.

This is most unfortunate. I believe in what marketsnipers is trying to do and have really enjoyed his comments and posts. Hope that we can find a way to get this worked out and that we have not alienated a very good poster from continuing to post on this board. He definitely adds value here. In fact, this board would benefit by more people posting like him rather than less.

Please don't make me post the free marketsnipers thread.

    Best,
    JDSalinger

it's rather unfortunate for the guy, but I do like to see experiments like this done often, just goes to show how others are more sharing when it comes to their learning.

btw I have recieved a high volume of unsolicited PM's and that guy didn't get banned yet. is there a spam button which I can press in the PM's?

    Hi Guys,

Thanks for the support. No, I did not get a warning. I was banned straightaway and Aaron_nimocks made it clear that he wouldn't warn anymore. Straightaway ban. Thank you Aaron.

    UPDATE

Some good news, some bad news.

Its been a surefire Sandbox for the site. All rankings vanished a week ago and no sign of any return at all so far. As far as my knowledge goes and from everything I have read, if this indeed is a sandbox, we can expect this to go for another 4-6 months minimum and 12 months stretch. Pretty scary huh?

So, what am I going to do next? I have picked up 2 solid domains from an auction at TDNAM, The domain name Aftermarket. I received one of the domains today. The other will be at my account on the 5th of August.

The domain I received is over 3 years old and is perfect for the niche I have had in mind for about 4 months now. I was trying to integrate the niche in my NOW sandboxed site, but it wouldn't fit.

    Now I know why :) Destiny's play.

Anyways, I will start developing on the domain I received few hours back. It is going to be focused on one niche strongly.

I will keep you guys updated.

Great to see you back.. not so great to hear about the sandbox :(

Will be interesting to see how well an aged domain does Vs a new domain in regards to the sandboxing affect, could end up being a great experiment. will look forward to seeing some results.

Once again, thanks for keeping us informed, educated and updated. :D

    Cheers
