Hey guys, I read a lot here about newbies trying Google Adsense and other networks to try and make money online. I think obviously one of the misconceptions of it is that you'll make money overnight or basically, it will just come easy. It's WORK, but if you want, you can do it. I built a site about 5 months ago for a business but I basically let it stand there. I saw it started to build traffic so I started placing adsense and now kontera to monetize it. I have done NO SEO except for the very basics of having titles, meta tags, etc. Not one link is pointing to this site as of yet. It's pretty straight forward but you'll see.
I just saw the thread, nice, didnt see it before. It's a good point about one ad type of unit taking clicks away from others, 100% true. I will have to take a look at that but for this month I will leave Kontera on and see how well it performs. I really like their concept and SHOULD compliment adsense, but we'll see...I heard from many its been a dissapointment but you always have to try it yourself.
