My adsense earnings have gone down permanently

I bought this website in may: waynerooneyonline.com and I improved it making between $4 and $6 a day.

It stayed like that for 2 months. When the new premiership season started a few weeks ago I expected this to go up slightly. However my earnings have gone down. On a good day I earn $2 a day, with the same number of clicks.

I have several other sites in my adsense account now. Could these be affecting it?

I dont think the others will be effecting the adsense earnings on the site you mentioned.

Have you made any changes to the ads, colours and layout? It could be something simple like adding a 468x60 at the top which would then take the higher paying keywords etc...

Just tweak the ads a little and move them around to see if anything changes.

 

I'm getting the same amount of clicks. Thats with my new sites as well, so maybe I am getting just a few less clicks. The amount I am getting per click seems to have gone down though.

Yeah, I believe you're getting cheap ads, try to use competitive ad filters on adsense setup to eliminate those cheap ads.

BTW, if my browser renders your site correctly, I only saw 1 ad on your homepage, I'm not sure if you're intentionally doing this, but I believe you can get higher CTR by placing some more ads, for example in the middle content, I see adsense will be perfectly fit there, or on the right sidebar, there are still some spaces to put adsense. HTH.

 

There are the ads along the top and the ones on the left. I don't think I could put them in the middle content because the list of stories is generated from my database code. I don't know how to change it to split it up.

very difficult to beat low paying ads..same cases with me.

 

Adsense always fluctuate nobody can earning always well.

 

The thing was, it was paying high in the low months of the year. Now it has got to the high months, its actually lower.

 

Could it just be that this time of year there are a lot of low quailty ads being put on adwords reflecting in adsense.

You are allowed to publish earnings. They are only rough averages anyway.

 

Have you tried moving the menu to the right column and moving the skyscraper so it comes up first. Also, centering the skyscraper would place it closer to the articles.

I do get cheap ads as well.

 

What you are seeing is a redesign of the site. I totally redesigned it and now the earnings have gone up. Similar amount of clicks though!

 

as the season has just started so lot of other webmasters also might have started new things for new premiership , so due to lot of websites for this keywords , you might be getting low ctr

 

I agree with kodut. your site seems to be a seasonal one which is affiliated in way to sports and when that particular sport is in you have a better chance of earning $$$.
