Hello, this is my first post in DP. I have read many forum posts about this lucrative topic, Adsense Disabled Accounts, and now it is my turn to join the rant. I got that heart breaking email on the 3rd of November. I have already appealed and have got no response from them as yet (I'm guessing that's a no?) Adsense was a great source of income for my two websites, and I have quickly switched across to AdBrite - which is paying about 5000% less, not to mention is cheque only. *sigh*. So where to from now? I know there are hundreds, if not thousands of people who were in my position. What are the next steps? Currently my 2 websites gross around 30K page-views per day. Is this something that I could advertise in-house, or should I try another advertiser. I've read the blog posts from Shaun, and the DP ads look very interesting, however I am unsure about the "last month free" pitch. I don't think that's described very well. Could anyone shed some light on that? Thanks.
Sure, The website is myrepospace.com It's understandable why the disabled my account, the website relies on 3rd party content, despite our Terms of Service stating otherwise, people still upload hacking and cracking content. I try my best to remove all the violating content, but they must of found some pages they didn't like and banned me without warning.
Mass banning by google. The reason behind this: put adsense on attachment page, such as wallpaper site or others. This is real I worry about publishers future in adsense program
There have many alternative of Adsense. You should do some experiment and find out the best alternative for you. Here is a list of Adsenase alternative. Hope you will get a suitable network from this list. 1. AdBrite 2. Bidvertiser 3. Chitika 4. Infolinks 5. Pocket Cents 6. Kontera 7. Clicksor 8. Exit Junction 9. Yahoo Publisher Network 10. Fastclick
Thanks for the suggestions Faysal, Unfortunately I have tried pretty much all of these networks, and they do not compare to Google. Has anyone tried digitalpoint's ad network?
You really dont have much argument with google when youve just stated the above, Yes its against your TOS but its still on your site what did you expect?
Other than Adsense, I don't believe in PPC. Try CPM, like Fastclick, Cpx etc. I don't believe Adbrite can replace Adsense. other than that, try PTP.
Yes I know that, I'm didn't join DP to rant about how innocent I am. It's be nice if Google could of given me a warning, and if I couldn't contain the content, I could just remove the ads and continue Adsense on my other websites. That's probably the worst part about Adsense disable - they remove your account entirely without consideration to your other websites, which are following TOS. Anyway, the point of this thread is about new beginnings. I want to maximise my inventory quickly or get eaten alive by my hosting.
You cant complaint about that as you are "against the adsense TOS". And you was agree that adsense have right to stop you anytime when you join adsense. You will go into jail if one of you company running illegal business although another 100 company under your name is legal Anyway, the only thing you can do is fill in the appeal form - https://www.google.com/support/adsense/bin/request.py?hl=en&contact_type=appeal_form&rd=2 , wait for the answer from adsense. If you fail to get back your account, forget about adsense and go for other programs
My Website does not support illegal content. I remove hundreds of violating content every week. I find it pretty hypocritical that Google themselves can advertise on YouTube when they host illegal content too, even if it is taken down after a few days/weeks. There is no difference in circumstances, it's just what happens when you open your website to 'the Internet'. I appealed over a week ago and haven't heard anything since. How long do they take to reply? I noticed a thread about a recent "mass banning" from Adsense (don't know if that has an real evidence to back it's claims). But if it were true; I'm guessing that would slow down the process of appeals a lot.
Man, you don't have the option to edit content before it is displayed on your site? That really stinks, not that it helps much now, but if they give you a second run, I'd make some modifications to the Site and content options so it don't happen in the future. Google seems to be pretty understanding, in most cases. I have a feeling they will get back to you and reinstate the account, if you have a plan to prevent it from happening. They're not quick at responses, from my experience. I never have been banned, so I'm not speaking from experience. Just from what you wrote. In regards to alternatives, I tried one that had some attractive Advertisers (ING, Advanced Auto, etc...). The name of the Ad Network is eluding me right now. I never put a single ad on my site. I was developing some code to help decide which would work, and i started getting emails that worried me. They would say aadvertiseror I was going tpublishch has been removed from the network. Shortly after, I would get an email saying they were reinstated in the Ad Network. What's disheartening for us, as Web Developers, on a network like this is the losses. Their system lacked the ability to update or rotate ads. So, when a advertiser is removed, they're image would still be displayed on Publisher's Website. However, we would not be rewarded for any visits. to say the least, I'd stay away from most publisher networks. Design your own Advertising System charging Advertisers' or try Yahoo. I heard Yahoo has a decent system. Before you embark on Yahoo, make sure you can edit content. That seems to be a thorn in your side right now.
30k a day is pretty good traffic, so might be worth trying something CPM as well as CPC. Chitaka's working pretty well, depending on where your traffic comes from.
i suggest you go direct by using merchants from CJ or shareasale. That way you have more work, but you also make more money.
I've used CJ before, but most of their advertisers are Cost Per Lead, which is pretty difficult to achieve. I just got accepted into Chitaka's network, I will let you know how that goes.
Of course nothing compares to adsense in terms of earnings and easyness.. But you could try to go the affiliates program route, with clickbank offers and other platforms, the problem being that you have to handpick the things to advertize. Also DP Ads is not like adsense, it's more like buysellads.com if you know what I mean.
