I finally receieved my first adsense check. I am obviously happy and i got it within my first month, that doubles the joy.

However i have a query, my adsense check has two lines like // in between the cheque. what does that symbolise?

I believe it generally means that the cheque can only be paid to the payee. So the cheque can only be paid into an account held by the person who's name is on the account.

You can't change the name to cash or anything like that.

2 lines mean that the check is non negotiable and can only be deposited to your account

It is crossed because you are using local currency for it.
Checks in USD don't usually get crossed

thanks for all the info guys..
since its my first check, i have no knowledge about it. I know checks are crossed to ensure that they are only paid to the receiver, however never knew google issues one like that.

I am so happy, only 1 month blogging and first check:D

Thats the first time I have seen that big cross, generally it is two small lines or upper left corner of check. Btw, my google checks aren't crossed.. I wonder why..
