My ads showing or not?

    Hi,

I have installed coop ads successfully and it's validated. I have a weight of 18,000 (I don't know if it's good or bad ). But I'm not sure that my ads are displaying on other websites, because I couldn't see any referrer on my stats, who are using coop network. How can I know that my ads are displaying properly?

18,000 is respectable! Many start off with 2-5000 for weight, so you're not bad.

The ads are rotated on each site, so it might be hard to track down a site on the page visit you make and see your site. I have not had a lot of traffic and don't expect a lot of traffic with the coop. But I can see the ads on my sites and every time I refresh they seem different. I've noticed some visits to my sites after the first week. I can see the referer url in my logs and go to the site and see they have are part of the network.

I really knew things were working when backlinks updated last week. I made astronomical jumps in my backlinks as reported by the DP keywords tool.

    Hope that helps,

    GTech

Thanks for your help. I'm using coop for 2 weeks and I couldn't see any referer on my logs. That's why I'm doubting.

Are you sure you clicked 'Enable' next to the ads after writing the ads?

Yes, I'm sure. There is a 'disable' link under 'delete' right now.

Then you can trust it's fine.

You can search for new links in MSN and Yahoo, they normally report them quicker than Google.

Have you been checking for backlinks in SE's other than Google? G. seems to be something of a fickle date, slow to acknowledge your overtures..., but MSN and Yahoo have picked up my ad/links fairly quickly. case in point, I just turned on the heat up on a set of new ads about four days ago, and within a couple, Y. showed six backlinks. Checking 24hrs later, those six dwindled to 2, while MSN and G. reported nothing.

also, are you running graphic or text ads? I would think two weeks you ought to see some backlinks, however fleeting, but not necessarily in Google.

No, I only checked google's backlinks. Actually I can't track all backlinks from coop, because I'm already a member of linkmarket and I'm exchanging a lot of links everyday. I couldn't be sure that my ads are displaying on the coop network, because I couldn't find any referrer on my logs. Maybe it's just coincidence.

I am running graphic and text ads.
