My ads are not shown.

Hello, this is my first post and I'm totally new to adwords. So please apologize if my questions sound silly. Here goes my questions.

I had my 2 ad campaigns up and active for 5-6 hours, but most of them do not appear on the google site. Since I'm new and trying to test my campaigns first, I bid only on keywords that have a few or even no advertisers put adwords box on. I bid for all those keywords at 5 cents and google recommend $1 per day budget but I put $10 per day.

First, I used phrase matching but most of it don't show up. Then I tried broad and exact matching. Nothing changed, my ad box still don't appear. To be exactly, one of my ad campaign doesn't appear at all while the other one shows at some keywords search.

I'd be greatly appreciated, if someone could help me out. Thank you in advance.

Do you have the ads to show only in certain countries, but you're in another?

No, I live in US and I actually made it national and global ad too.

I'm checking the keywords I bid on and see nothing, while I see others have the same kind of ad with the same keyword in the ad box up and running on the site (oh and I read the editorial guideline, and I didn't violate any of their rules. No exclamation marks, no CAPS, just a plain ad).

    I just don't understand why. :(

I'm new to adwords too (started my own campaign two days ago) so maybe we can enter a learning curve together here :)

I notice that I don't often get my own ad when I search for my keywords. But you get more exposure with a higher CPC. 5c seems low to me.

How do you know that only a few or no competitors are bidding on your keywords?

I just first check on google that the keyword I'm bidding has just a few or no adwords running. Then I proceed to bid on those keywords. But somehow my ads won't appear on the google site. :(

Try deleting the Google cookie on your PC. I noticed that my ads disappeared until I deleted the Google cookie. Once you click on an ad (even your own) Google writes a cookie so that you do not see the same ad again. Others will still see the ads.

To determine whether or not your ads are appearing, you should look at your CTRs. Unless you bid for a real low position or use very obscure keywords, your ads will get click-throughs.

I guess it's not about the cookies because some of my keywords that were shown at the first place still show everytime I check back even I already clicked on it to check if it worked.

If my ad is not approved, should they put disapproved on my ad when I check my account? Because it says active for all of my ad, so I think my ads are approved.

Anyway, is it possible that google block an ad that contain certain keywords? I tried to find some answer and found that all my ads that have word "war" in the keyword won't appear, while it shows when the word is "wars". Still, I don't understand why there are a few people who can put an ad on that same keyword that I couldn't if the keyword is blocked.

When Google stops one of your ads, they usually send you an e-mail notice and flag the ad in the Campaign Management system. They once killed one of my ads because I used "faster web pages = higher customer retention". They told me that the equals sign was not an approved character. Go figure.

It's possible that the ad is on hold and pending human review because of the wording.

Your budget is not set high enough and google shows your ads only few times.
