My Ad Stats Show Impressions But I Get Zero Clicks

    Hi,

I must admit I am new to AdWords. Never used before. Then my lovely hosting company presented me with some free coupons and I decided to try it just for fun.
My idea that an MSc degree would be enough to get around it proved wrong

I used the Keyword Tool to pick some typos and some cheaper relevant keywords. Google suggested that the minimal bid for my choices would be approx £0.05. I selected 6. Had no clicks. During the next two weeks I have increased the bid to 12 pence. Still no clicks while the stats show that the total network impressions have reached 20,000.

Do you have any ideas about how could I see some clicks? :D

Write better (in relation to the keyword) ads.

    whoa...

be sure to read some adwords guide first.. find some blogs, or get beating adwords/perry marshall's ebook.

i'm pretty sure you've left the content network on. see how many impressions came from the content network. then, switch it off. it can make you money, but since you're new, it's better if you don't dabble with 'em yet coz you can lose a bunch of money with 'em in a short time.

you've bid 12 pence/click on the content network. consider yourself lucky to not get any clicks yet.

see how much impression did you get from the search network. the 'normal' idea is to aim for 1-3rd ad positions to get a good QS, from there on bid lower and lower while still maintaining a favourable ad position.

good luck playing with adwords! it's fun when you;re okay with it :D

If you don't get clicks, but only impressions, then it means people don't click on your ad.

Try to write more attractive, creative ads, also look at your ad position. I would suggest to be in top5 to get good results.

If you are running mostly on content then ctr will be low.. so you need lot of impressions to acquire a click...
Other wise change AD and improve targeting..
