I modified my site and try to calculate the account weight again. I had google API key, and the validation is ok, but my weight still turned to 0. Can someone tell me why?

I find when that happens, if I just go to my account settings and reselect my site type and save, the calcs work. Once I had to try like 5 times though. So far I've been able to cure it with no help.

If you are *certain* that your weight should not be 0, just keep revalidating until it gets non-zero.

The API returns 0 pages occasionally (during some weeks, it happens very often), which results in 0 weight. This is a google API issue and not related to going through digital point.

My went to Zero when I tried it today too. But I went back about an hour later and tried it and the weight went right back up.

As unreliable as google is, why does the co-op still base everything upon google? Seems like there are better choices available.

Because G is the only one with an API (Yahoo just released one but in such a way that you can't query it on behalf of a user) so you don;t have to unethically scrape data.

What would you suggest Shawn use?
