    Lots of my friends' yahoomail account was being hacked, specially those that was not active at all. It seems yahoomail has low email security against hackers.

    I feel that you didn't have strong password, and that is the reason your account got hacked.
    Or maybe you your pc is effected with virus which sends information to the virus creator.. check it out.

    I can give you is not to open you email account on public computers or internet cafe some people might be using some malicious or adware softwares to decrypt your password and username.
