Why should he be banned for somebody else's criminal effort? It's against TOS to use another script, isn't it? I remember i sended them an email about it and the answer was "well, we do track out stuff bla bla bla and we dont encourage to instal bla bla bla" etc etc.
But Google should provide to all publishers a way of not being banned because someone clicks on ads till exaustion! It's not fair one goes out of program just because some criminal guy clicks on ads several times. I run a site that ranks #1, #2, #3 etc etc for major keywords, and i'm not confortable knowing that those competition suckers that copy my content every week may also click on my ads to get me out! Google should know better than this. It's unfair and unhuman.
Hmm, if it's not for click fraud, I'm guessing they *might* give you the $130 they owed you? Check with them. Sorry to hear about this, by the way..
damn, I( never heard about this before ... I can understand that google has to protect the advertisers as well, but that must hurt ... 140 clicks in 1 day you say ... that caused it obviously ... I would really be surprised if there's no way to fix this ... otherwise we shoudl all click-bomb google themselves ... should be possible; we all go to internet-shops and click endlessly on the ads that appear on their own pages ... don't they have some paid ads for some of their own companies?
No , they will not. https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=57153 Read this article, they even stop payment of the check they might have sent before banning.
Because that's just how Google operates, they don't care about the people displaying the ads, if they see something going on, their main concern is to 'protect' their investment (ie. the advertisers) regardless of who's fault it is. asrep is fine and Google has no problem with you using it. Their TOS stat that any script must NOT modify the adsense code in anyway. AsRep doesn't modify any code - it just allows adsense ads to be display or not which is allowed by Google's TOS. The Fraud Prevention Module is just a wrapper around the Adsense code which is really just an IF statment for allowing the ads to be displayed or not, this is fine by Google and does not violate the AdSense TOS.
Sorry to here about this It happened to me also. My story is like yours. 2 years not clicking on my own ads and this. Did you fill out the appeal. I did not sure what will happen
Sadly one thing i have noticed is: COMPANIES TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT AND JUST GET RID OF YOU.. (INSTEAD OF TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT) Its sad, disgusting and unfortunate!!
I have read the Google Adsense forum, there seems to be alot of webmasters with the same problem, we all got a letter saying we have been cancelled with no reason.....maybe thousands......kinda like the blogger screw up they went though last week
