Hello Friends, Can anybody help me with my JustHost account which got deactivated, and they say to optimize the website - they say I'm using excess CPU, but I don't really understand what they are talking about and the detailed mail they sent me, I don't understand a word. Here's the mail. "Thank you for contacting Technical Support. The slow responses on your account are due to CPU usage, which is attempting to do more than a shared hosting environment is typically capable of. We are working to keep the site active, while preventing any other accounts on your server from being affected. While Throttling can occasionally speed up site performance that does not appear to be the case on your account. In this case the CPU core we've moved your account to is not enough to handle your accounts' needs. I recommend removing any plugins, modules or extensions you don't need and enabling caching on your scripts. The wp-super-cache plugin, for example, is excellent for reducing CPU usage on WordPress installations, while providing faster responses even for those not experiencing Throttling. Look in the Process Manager of the cPanel (under Advanced at the bottom) and see if there are any processes that aren't killing when they ought to. Check through the slow query logs at tmp/mysql_slow_queries/ from your File Manager. This is where database issues that lock up will be recorded. Some things that can contribute to page speed are: page size, how much content is on a single page and how much data it has to load on that page, image size/resolution, video/audio/media size. database size, database optimization, long queries, erroneous queries, non-cached sites, broken scripts, and much more This is the mail, can anybody please assist me ? Since my mails and websites are blocked, its causing me a big problem. Somebody please help!
I am sorry but I cannot help you if your site is already deactivated. But it is your wordpress that is causing the problems. Did you recently make changes to your website? Did you install something? the host said : "I recommend removing any plugins [snip] you don't need" -> this is excellent advice. It might be that you installed a plugin that is faulty and causing problems. But if it is deactivated, you will have to ask the host to help you. Call them, they advertise on their site: "FREE 24/7 Phone Support" so call them and ask them to make the changes for you. keep in mind that Justhost is an "unlimited" hosting provider, but your site is already at its limits... perhaps look at wordpress hosts that specialise in wordpress; such as wpengine.com, contact them, tell them about your site, and what you need and I am certain they would be able to help you.
Since your website is down, Am not sure how your host recommends you to do that, I would also suggest you to call up your host and ask them to get your site live so that you could rectify the issue, Or else raise a ticket explaining your issue. Am sure your host would help you out with your situation since he took the extra effort to right down the issue which caused to take your website down.Once you have your site live you can follow the steps suggested by your host. if it doesn't help then you could post the problem and we will do our best to help you with your situation. It often happens that the plugin is not coded properly and end up taking more Server resources then the program should have which is why your host decided take your website down i believe. I dont believe it has much to do with the Host since any Host would do the same if your account takes up more resources then it is meant to, there is nothing called unlimited in this world, Have you every seen a hard disk that reads out Unlimited. If a host does offer unlimited option then do read the TOS where you will see what does unlimited actually mean. I hope this helps
This happens on occasion and as one of the respondents said it could be some plugin running on your WordPress. You will need to call or notify by email, live chat or ticketing system. Generally they will turn your account back on to allow you some time to fix the issues. If you run too many resources on a shared account then the entire server and all the accounts will also be affected. Usually it is just the case of cleaning up a few resource hogging scripts. If that doesn't fix the issue you may be asked to upgrade your account. The first step is to reach back out and reply to your hosting provider.
As was already mentioned: get rid of those fancy plugins that just add bells and whistles. Then install and activate caching. Caching is not just for speed. Most WP caching (WP Super Cache, et al) turn your PHP/MySQL "pages" into HTML which is not CPU intensive as PHP+MySQL.
Well you didnt give us much details: like how many plugins you use, how many sites you ahve and how big is the traffic. But it is true that wordpress can be cpu and memory consuming, that why you need to optimize it.
If optimized correctly, WP will not use a lot of resources. From my own experience with many huge WP sites, I can tell that a cache plugin will help a lot. Try https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-super-cache/ or https://wordpress.org/plugins/w3-total-cache/. Keep us informed.
If it continues to be a problem, it would be best to look for a VPS (virtual server), where you can have more control over monitoring and adjusting your CPU usage.
