I think PPC is a tool that a lot of people don't fully understand. You can make money using PPC, but you can also lose a lot of money if you enter into it without being prepared.
I totaly agree but once you get it right you can make some great money, the key is to keep a keen eye on your campaigns, I always start my campaighns with free methods like lenses, articles, blogs, clasified ads etc then when I find products that convert well thats when I start using PPC.
I've started reading this thread at around 00.30 last night, it's now exactly 04.40 in the morning! I only stopped a few times for a ciggy . Allow me to say firstly how unbelievable lecture it was and thank everyone involved, especially Scott. The argument between the PPC and SEO (including article writing, submissions, link building, etc..) will always be present purely because parties involved in it give accordingly more attention to a particular method, therefore achievieng profits. It's understandable they will prise one or another. I do not under-privilege any of the mothods but embrace all of them, however it's important to do one thing at a time. I will share my personal experiences next time. Going to bed now. Thanks Again! Great Thread!
We recommend that you use the basic theory of SEO, in order to get a lot of visitors. I used to use adwords but now I'm purely using basic SEO techniques, and exceptional results
I've spent a few hours reading through this whole thread, and I must say it was an awesome read. Scott, how much are you making now if you don't mind me asking?
If you still want a good PPC site, check out bidvertiser.com, the setup is easier than adwords and the ads look the same. Plus you can pay with Paypal
Wow, I can really say this thread is very helpful and you can learn a lot from it. Thanks everyone for all the info provided in this thread..
I have started out on Affiliate Marketing by promoting hot products from Clickbank but so far no sales made yet. Traffic could be a reason and what other free seo methods do you recommend to increase targeted traffic and eventually conversions?
Hello all, I believe this is my first post in DF, I was only reading before. It took me two days to read this thread, but I read every post in it. It gave me a lot of insights, and sure there are many things I still don't understand. I have a site with around 350 uniques per day and some clickbank links. I had one sale so far. The first sale came after 140 hops. Now I had another 140 hops and no sales so far... I am just trying to imagine how it would be like if I was paying for these hops... Scary! I am still committed to learning different ways though. Scott, it doesn't look like you are visiting this thread, but if you do - THANK YOU and good luck! What I would like to ask those who have experience is how many hops you need to have to assume that the product doesn't convert? Thanks!
Thanks. It is, as I said, a content site that has some organic traffic. So I don't pay anything for the clicks, but it is just about being patient waiting when you'll get your sale. I had one sale after 140 hops and no other sales so far. This is why I was asking how many "empty" hops is enough to judge that the product is a bad choice for my readers and change it to another product.
Give it another 140 hops of same traffic and if there is still no profit, change traffic (other keywords) or change product.
