CPA - Cost Per Action ( the action could be free registration, email submit, or product purchase etc.). ;)

OK, so it's been about a week since starting this. I just got accepted into the NeverBlueAds affiliate program. That took a little while, but they said they were backed up with applications. Hopefully I can find some good stuff on there.

So far all of the input to this thread has been really helpful. Also, glad people seem to be taking something from it as well. Adds a little motivation to all of this.

As for my landing page, I'm working on making it google friendly. Adding a glossary, FAQ, contact us, and other miscellaneous pages. Trying not to do much at first but don't want to make too many mistakes I could easily avoid. I'm basically doing everything in HTML, there's no serious web design. I do some web stuff for my job, but I'm no PHP expert or anything. Any input on some nice PHP landing page templates and where to get them? Also I have no idea how you develop PHP.

Also, I'm using some links through Commission Junction, but my application is still pending. I've put a lot of work into one particular site and hope my app doesn't get rejected. I really don't want to be wasting my time. Any suggestions on how to expedite this?

    What's a landing page for?

If your just making a landing page for the product, most likely php wont be needed for anything other than link masking. Keep the landing page as simple as possible.

What is link masking and why would you use it for marketting?

Kallell, thanks for that. I was thinking that getting into PHP might be a little much for something that should be fairy simple. As for the goal, I think I'm starting to slack a little bit so I should pick up the pace. The approval processes are beginning to take longer than I was expecting so hopefully it turns around these next few days.

Probably the fastest approval I have had was with PepperJam. They seem to be adding new advertisers all the time too. CJ seems to take forever.

Pepperjam. I will definitely look into them. I'm trying hard to keep this updated daily. I need to develop a schedule to do this along with other things.

What time frame are you looking at? I'm aiming for £200 per month in about six months.

Most Poker sites are approved instantly, otherwise you just wait a day or two.

OK so last night I sent an email to one of my affiliate companies requesting the status of my application. They said they normally don't approve affiliates without a website. But then they wrote that because I had reached out to them, they would approve my application so that I could integrate their links and only asked I contact them when the site went live.

So basically it paid off to keep in touch with them and not let them forget about me. I think if I had just kept waiting, my application would have gotten lost in some database.

Also, I'm launching an ebook site but not sure where I can go to get feedback on it. Does this forum have any such thing where people can look at it and I wont get in trouble for promoting or anything like that?

OK one thing I'm discovering is that I am taking way too long developing these landing pages. What is everyones average time on making them? At this rate, it's going to take me forever to get solid foundation built. My plan is to get a few going so that I can test which different ones work the best, but I think my design is too complicated.

This thread is entering day 10 and I'm lagging in progress.

What are you using to make a landing page? Are you doing an article on squidoo or blogger?

If you are using your own website/domain name then you could use wordpress to create an easy simple landing page. There are also a few other easy website building programs out there.

If you dont happen to get "lucky" along the way. You will realize 250 a day is achievable but will take plenty of work. I see you are motivated enough to do so. Just build your campaigns and link them to each other.

Spend a week on one campaign, write different articles in ezine then point them to a landing page. Just think if there is a subject that has different things to talk about, create an article for each topic that involves the subject, link them to each other. Google sees the relevant of the matter, and gives you juice.
