It appears many people are wondering why sites that don’t sell or buy text links are losing their PR value. I think many of these people tend to forget the very first part of their url which is www, which we all know stands for world wide web.

One way or another almost all the sites on the internet are interlinked together by hyperlinks, I’ll bet some of the hops (link to link) are amazing and can go down over 500 sites. What is happening is most likely back links are losing their pagerank value and affecting the websites they link to. We should expect to see a major shift in pagerank in the near future for all websites. This is probably due to the extent of text link sales over the years.

I believe this is a good thing, finally pagerank value will be actually worth something, people won’t be able to buy their pagerank anymore, well at least not to the extent that was going on. We should all just sit back during this ride and wait till its over, then work from what our natural pagerank should be.

Wouldn’t you be glad to know the actual pagerank of your site after it’s all done? :D
