Hi all, This is the 1st time I've ever tried to do a Vector image, it's not 100% finished yet, still gotta fix the skin tones and add more depth but what do you all think? http://i554.photobucket.com/albums/jj413/hylianslast/Ricky-Vector.jpg It's ment to be Ricky Gervais btw...
it Looks pretty good, and for first timer its really amazing, dude you have great potential in design.. regards almosteasy ~
hey man, my first vector images was a blue glass ball - really promising stuff. What software are you using? Adobe Illustrator is easiest to learn if you already know photoshop, but if you're new to the game, or once you surpass the limitations of Illustrator be sure to check out Inkscape. Inkscape is free and open-source (like firefox) and can be downloaded for free from www.inkscape.org I use BOTH illustrator and Inkscape daily as a designer, but if I was doing purely vector illustration and not illustration and design, I'd be using Inkscape FAR more. Good luck, can't wait to see what you're pulling off in 2 years time!
I'm using Photoshop CS at the moment, I was using Photoshop 7 but I recently ugraded to CS. I'll look into using Inkscape at some point, I have a copy of Painter X but I've never used it yet :S Well I couldn't use that for Vectors anyway lol.
I have some video tutorials on how to get started using Painter, you can check them out here http://www.craigstutorials.com/blog Painter is a really fun program.
hey there buddy, that is really good work for your 1st vector image, keep up the good work, and keep practicing.
