    Godaddy won't give u discount because your are first time register domain with them. Here is the coupon code for godaddy : cjc695dom (7.15 each .com)

    Huh??? Doesn't matter if you're regging your 1st name with Godaddy or your 1,0000, if you use a coupon you can always get a discount. You can always Google "Godaddy Coupons" & you'll have tons of sites listing them.

    Even with a coupon Godaddy is expensive. Why not try Name.com for $5.99 without coupons?

    I was actually talking about the fact that the first domain you register is supposed to cost 1.99$ as i understood from godaddy's homepage.
    i'll use name.com instead, thanks anyway :)

    right now the cheapest dot com domain is $7.99 after discount.

    The $1.99 is the price for the domain if you buy some other product from Godaddy, eg Web Hosting as well. If you buy just a domain, it'll cost the normal price.

    Yes, Name.com has a free push.
