Bring him some simulation games like tycoon games or something similar .. let him be good only in games at this age.. Real money is very dangerous at this pretty young age... Dont deny his demands just change the form..

i say let him aslong as he is being responsible and not doing anything illegal.

some kids are out drug dealing so it could be worse him wanting to get into affiliates etc.

i would say let him do what he wants to as long as he invests his own money. also check in with him every day to make sure he isn't doing any "illegal stuff". and make sure he knows that you have no part and also not responsible for the actions in which he is involved over the web. (in usa you are till he is 18 but still)

    hope it helped

also don't use your name, ss id anywhere he is involved. get him a pre paid credit card with his money and let him use that for paypal ect....

As long as he's not selling porn, or gambling or something else up that ally I saw let him go....Ask him to have it approved by you first....I started out young...it takes time and trial an error...

Again, great advice being thrown out you guys. One thing I'll say is that he definitely won't be involved in anything shady or porn related etc. I will have him working with me in my office so there's no chance of anything like that.

    Regards

No 14 year old thinks of himself as being of a "pretty young age". They are just 4 years away from attaining legal adulthood. Most 14 year olds have already had sexual encounters, experimented with alcohol or drugs, driven a car, etc etc. Why not channel the energy positively and gain some real profitbale knowledge than play tycoon games.

Ducati1198 it's great to see that you care & want to do what's best. My tip is to tell him to stay away from hardcore blackhat methods in the beginning, that kind of money can indeed be very distracting. Besides, there is a huge learning curve and a lot of ways to make money online the white hat way. I have been making money online since the age of 11. I am 19 now, financially independent & a large portion of my income comes from the internet.

The internet is just like real life when it comes to making money the white hat way. I strongly disagree with all the ageist posts about spying on his activities or restricting anything. If he's talking to his parent about this, that is in itself an indication that he's a responsible & sensible person.

I will agree though, that it is very time consuming and a distraction from other "normal" "real life" activities. As a result of my online income, I dropped out of school. But then again, where I live (India) an education is worthless & my circumstances are different.

    Good luck all the same!

He'll be exposed to it at some point of time, you'll just need to trust him.

Depending on how you're making money online, I'd be cautious. The last thing you want is for him to get himself AND you in a mess.

@ exe - Great post...yeah I'm actually a member of many BH and GH forums as well as WH, and will definitely not let him start by learning the shortcuts. It will be whitehat all the way. ;)

Thanks much for the well wishes!

Hi! It is very good to listen that a young little boy who wants to earn money as his father does.. It shows up his view over his future, and also he is good enough so that you can leave him up on his ways but in some point you need to provide him which way he should be choosing.. and let him do on his way....
He will come up in his life very well! All the best for him

Not necessary  Just keep an eye on him. Since you've been in the same field for a while, try to guide him in the right way if you're keen on allowing him to proceed with this. Money in the hand at a young age can be dangerous, more dangerous than what he can and might be tempted to do online.
