I have read it and what I see is someone trying to convey a message that a kid can make $x doing something, so readers should click a sig and buy an ebook to learn how he does it. Classic gorilla marketing.

    I am not stupid.

Congrats on the number of replies and especially views though. Most are not this creative.

Let him learn the good things in an early age.

@ DubDub - I think you've been sitting in front of your computer too long and are reading a bit more into the thread than necessery. ;) I can really care less about what your "perceptions" are, but like John stated, why even post up here if that's your opinion?

Maybe you use "Gorilla marketing tactics" like you described, but DP is recreation and a place to shoot the shit with people for me personally.

In any respect, I'll let my son know that what he's working on is all bs ;)

I was working by the time I was 12years old and I am over 50 now. Please do not stop him from learning and growing a business even at this age as it will do him good in the future. Sure thing monitor his sites and give advise as parents do but don't stop him from growing into what he wants to do. I wish more young people were online and not in the streets or in gangs. At 14yrs I am sure he will make you prouder in years to come

I'm 15 years old, and if I wasn't exposed to the computers at an early age I wouldn't be here right now with a very incredible computer knowledge. I say, go for it!

Here are my 2 cents. You should allow him with caution. EVeryone should know the value of money since childhood and try to make money since early age.
However there is no alternate to good education. So you have to make sure that making money does not come at the cost of education.

Why should you let him go ahead?
    - He'll meet new people and will be able to deal with clients in future.
    - He'll be able to understand how the technology works and how hard it is to earn money.
    - He'll get an experience by doing freelancing jobs.
    - He'll be able to support a few people with his skill's and he'll be proud of his knowledge which leads him to learn more.
    - He'll develop new skills and will be extra ordinary from others at his school.
    - He can write all these things in his statements for his college/university applications.
    - He'll be able to earn "something" over the internet in his free time rather then getting addicted to alot of other games.

Why should you NOT let him go ahead with it?
    - Internet is a world of addiction. Once he gets into this type of things, it is hard to let him off it.
    - Age of 14 is a age of going outside and play rather then sitting on a computer and doing things to earn money.
    - Obscene materials might cause him to be addicted to stuff which you don't want him to look at.
    - Apart from his homework, he'll be prioritizing this type of internet jobs which will ruin his school life.
(this is all I can think off at the moment)

I say the age of 16 might be better as he'll be well matured and can do time management.

    Time for you to decide.

Excellent points made on both sides of the coin! You summarized all of the things that my wife and I had been mulling over. If you see the previous page, we did decide to let him get started though ;)

Update: He wrote and submitted 9 more articles today but none came in for review because of it being Monday. We'll probably have some earnings to update by tomorrow.

    Regards,

If you are going to watch and support him, I will say yes. Will be worth how much he can learn about working at so young age, I started working at 16 with my mother, but she got almost all my pay check lol... but the good part is that expierence taught me what responsability is.

Now Im 27 and I live on my own, and pay my bills by myself.
