Needless to say, the .txt file is writable. It is in the same directory as the .php file and I've checked the filenames over and over again. My footer file is definitely calling the php file, so there shouldn't be any directory/path problems. I've copied both the php and the .txt file over and over (doing a chmod 666 on the .txt file each time), just in case there was some kind of glitch in the copying. Feel like I've run out of options, so I'll be a happy bunny if anyone can help me please.
Yes, it doesn't work either. I think there must be something wrong with the latest (October 2005) version 150. I went back to version 222 (April 2005) and it works fine. Very strange that no-one has noticed it before now, though.
Did you change the file name with the new one? The October version is not any different (code-wise) than the current.
I copied the php code from another website, changed the filename of .txt and the line of code that calls the php. This is an old site that I was working on and originally it had yet another version, which worked, but after I updated it to version 150, it stopped working. Maybe it makes no sense, but this is what happened.
There is no "version 150". The timestamp on the first line of code is the closest thing to a "version".
